OBJECTIVES OF THE BICYCLE ASSOCIATION

The objects for which the Bicycle Association is established are specified in the Company’s Memorandum of Association. Principal among them are:

To encourage and promote in the United Kingdom and abroad the interests and welfare of the Bicycle Industry, which includes manufacturers and traders in cycles and accessories and components and businesses engaged in allied or ancillary undertakings.

To provide for the Industry the means of formulating and influencing general policy affecting the Industry on matters of commercial, economic, fiscal and technical importance and to act as a central authority for the Industry in making known and advising on the views of the Industry.

To carry on and promote all such activities necessary and desirable for the welfare and advancement of the Industry and Members.

To promote with central and local government and with the public at large interest in all activities relative to cycling and the use of the products of the Industry.
